121 years of keeping first things first – loving God and loving others! Please join us for our annual celebration banquet on Saturday, November 2, 2013, 6:45 p.m. at the Williamson Banquet Center, Horsham, PA
Dear Friend of the Mission,
I remember “Show and Tell” from my days attending the Hamilton Disston School in the Tacony section of Philadelphia. In the younger grades my teachers would instruct us to bring in something that we would show our fellow classmates and then tell about it. This was always great fun for a Friday afternoon when I was eager to run home to an exciting weekend filled with Saturday morning cartoons, a Saturday afternoon matinee, and homemade pizza at night.
“Gospel Show and Tell” is one way to think about our ministry here at the Whosoever Gospel Mission. In the Greek language the word Gospel means good news. The broken and hurting homeless men who come to the Mission need to hear Good News, a message of hope and joy. We therefore tell our men the Good News about Jesus – His love for them and His wonderful invitation to enjoy a personal relationship with Him. We also want to show our men the love of Christ by what we do for them and how we do it. Because of this, we provide our men with good food, clean clothing, and a safe and comfortable place to call home. We also come alongside our men and help them become all that God wants them to be. God’s amazing grace is in abundant supply at the Mission, His well never runs dry, and our men are living testimonies to how the Lord can heal brokenness and make all things new.
We invite you to celebrate with us our unique ministry of 121 years of “Gospel Show and Tell” on Saturday, November 2, starting at 6:45 p.m. Click here for all of the details. The men of the Mission will be there (Jesus said, “When you give a banquet, invite the poor” Luke 14:13), and we hope you will be there, too. Spread the news and bring as many people to our banquet as possible. Get a whole table of 8 people from your church to attend. Invite your pastor – your pastor can come for free as our guest!
