After the catastrophic arson fire that devastated our Germantown headquarters on February 25, 2006 and closed the doors of our residential outreach for homeless men for the first time in 114 years, a host of volunteers rose to the occasion and helped us clean up, demolish and remove over 100 tons of trash and debris from our buildings in 2006 and 2007. This made room for the E. Allen Reeves Co. to come in and begin reconstruction, which lasted until November of 2008 when we were finally able to reopen our residential New Life Program for homeless men.
