Dear Friends,

Greetings from the festive halls of the Mission, where we are daily bombarded with blessings! I am so incredibly grateful for everyone who has come by to drop off gifts for our men, toys for their children, homemade baked goods, festive decorations, and so many other special treats that come with the holiday season. Your many kindnesses are deeply felt and appreciated by our men and staff! Thank you!

All of this is made possible through your generous support. What’s more – all of it is made a bit brighter by the special holiday “extras” that remind us of Jesus, our Emmanuel – God with us! That truly is good news worth celebrating every day of the year. Thank you for helping us do just that. As you and your loved ones approach the holidays, perhaps one of these options might resonate in a special way with you in this season. Here are several ways you can help:

• Family Gift Exchange: Instead of giving gifts to each other at the holidays, some families bless our men by giving gifts to the Mission instead (these could be gifts of cash, gift cards, or items for our men – call me at 215 438 3094 x 103 for ideas or to get a wish list of specific items needed). Donation receipts for each donor can be given.
• Special Year-End Cash Gift: Consider a generous year-end donation as an investment in the lives of our men. If God has especially blessed you this past year, please consider sending a larger-than-usual gift to the Mission. Large gifts take big bites out of our budgeted expenses. They also strengthen and expand our services to our men.
• Gifts of Stock: Give a gift of appreciated stock – this is a great help to us and may provide you with excellent tax benefits, especially if you transfer the stock directly to the Mission without selling it first. Please consult with your financial advisor to confirm these tax benefits. To arrange for an easy electronic transfer of stock, please call me at (215) 438-3094 x 103.
• Donor-Advised Fund Gifts: If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend that a grant be made to the Whosoever Gospel Mission.
• Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): The Mission is able to receive up to a $100,000 Qualified Charitable Distribution from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) if you are 701/2 or older. You can make a QCD instead of taking your required minimum distribution (RMD). Your distribution must be sent by your IRA custodian directly to the Mission. The effect in most situations is both an income tax savings and an increased gift. Please consult with your financial advisor.
• Online and Recurring Gifts: You can save postage and time by setting up secure one-time or recurring gifts at whosoevergospel.org/donate.
• Gift Cards: While doing your holiday shopping, consider picking a gift card for the Mission from Walmart, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, Aldi, or Giant. We routinely shop at these stores for food and other much needed supplies for our men.
• PayPal Giving Fund: You can give through PayPal if you search “Donate with PayPal Giving Fund” or go to PayPal Giving Fund’s website: www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/hub and search “Whosoever Gospel Mission.” We get the full value of your donation – PayPal doesn’t charge us any fees.
