Very rarely, if ever do you run into a place like The Whosoever Gospel Mission. This is a place where reconciliation, restoration & recovery are real. The Whosoever Gospel Mission ministers to the whole man.
After relapsing on drugs and loosing my job, I was forced to make a reappearance at the mission. I will never forget the way I felt when I walked through the gates: ashamed, overwhelming guilt, failure, and defeat. There were men there that I knew, men who were in the mission with me at a prior time, and I was told to hold my head up and to focus on Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith and in time everything will work out to His glory and His honor. I listened to the chapel sermons given by the staff; I read my bible and prayed. I showed up for my counseling sessions with my assignments done and heeded the advise of my counselor, and I tried under the power of the Holy Spirit to “walk” according to the man of God that I am.
I sincerely thank God for the mission. It is a place where you are treated with respect and dignity; it is a place where you can regain what was lost, it is a place where you are instructed and encourage to put Jesus first and foremost.
Today I am drug free, I am working full time as a manager over a staff of 7, I am back with my family, and I am back in ministry at my church. As I sit here with tears of gratitude in my eyes all I can say is Thank you God for the way you used “The Mission” in my life…..I will never forget
